Vaccine Hopeful
Pfizer (PFE), Amgen (AMGN), BioNTech (BNTX) are parts of hopeful vaccine providers with +4% gains today. Positive news on testing results boosted their stock prices. They give hope for a possible solution to end COVID-19 virus that has already terminated more than half millions of lives and numbers still increase dramatically.
Airliners, (UAL, AAL, DAL), cruises (RCL, CCL, NCLH), entertainment (DIS), hotel (MAR) retailers (ROST), are up again in expecting re-opening and business return.
Extraordinary high expectations for quick recovery may not come true. However, stock markets are overly optimistic for both virus and economy as seen from the near record high Nasdaq index.
However, one group highlight is on package delivery Fedex (FDX) +14% and UPS (UPS) +5% that are positive signs that the US economy indeed improves significantly.
