Switching Back to Offensive Mode
The stock market switched back to the offensive mode when offensive sectors outperform others as shown. Technology (NVDA, FB, MSFT, AAPL) and consumer discretionary are paving the way for the higher ground. It is the conclusion of balance between inflation threat and post-COVID19 growth. Before the inflation is out of control on the surface, markets assume re-opening, business, and consumer activities will take the lead for now.
Let’s zoom in further to see where are the opportunities at the industry level:
- Technology: hardware (AAPL, DELL), semiconductor (SWKS, QRVO, NVDA), communication (FB), software (MSFT)
Consumer Discretionary: footwear (NKE), recreation (VSTO, POOL), clothing (GIL, LULU), apparel (GOOS)
