Confrontation
The confrontation between the US and China is getting more intense in 2023. Although US officers kept visiting China in the past few months (Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken, Treasury Secretary Janet L. Yellen, climate envoy, John Kerry, and Gina Raimondo, the secretary of commerce), its result is not in favor of the US or China.
For example, the Chinese government bans the use of Apple IPhone during the working hours for their government employees. It directly hurted Apple (AAP) stock price with a gap down -3% which broke through its 20 & 50 DMA immediately.
The US is trying to squeeze any profits from China during its de-risk-not-decouple period. But, China recognizes and does not allow the US to take benefits anymore. IN addition, military exercises in the East sea, Taiwan strait, South China Sea are getting full-scale nowadays.
We believe the confrontation between these two superpowers will end up with a major war. Currently, both parties are working hard to find their friends before the real fight.
Therefore, we should expect some events to happen like Apple or other international companies.
