Infrastructure Heating Up
The infrastructure theme keeps heating up the stock market for the second week. Three main categories include material (NUE, STLD, VMC, CMC, TS, MLM), equipment (CAT, DE, URI, CMI), and transport (CSX, NSC). Total $4.5 trillion is going to spend by the US government made DJIA another record high with more than 200+ points gains today.
Homebuilders (ETF: XHB) and improvements (HD, LOW) are other highlights.
Other than those, there are not many other leaders.
Nasdaq and small caps became laggards recently. It means a certain rotation is happening. Markets shift focus toward large caps and core sectors (material, industrial, financial, energy) rather than technology and small-cap stocks.
